Johnny has also directed at least three short films, a music video for Shane MacGowan and the Pogues, and has directed his first feature film called, "The Brave". He also appeared in a short film for the American Film Institute called, "Dummies" with Sherilyn Fenn.

The plot of this movie seems somewhat unbelievable, but only if you haven't watched the film. Johnny makes it beleivable. His performance playing Mort Rainey is astonishing. So much so that you forget that it's actually Johnny Depp you're watching. Without Johnny, I wouldn't have gone to see this film, I admit. It's not a particularly interesting film, but Johnny is. It's a fantastic performance, yet again by Johnny and it's a good film. However, Johnny doesn't suit braces!!! 7/10
